Undergraduate students will work with and be mentored by other students, their advisors, as well as Indigenous knowledge keepers and Elders.
Indigenous Undergraduate Students
Indigenous undergraduate students will receive a $8,000 stipend for their summer research project.
International Undergraduate Students
International undergraduate students interested in working with Indigenous communities will receive a $8,000 stipend for their summer research project.
Stipends are available for undergraduate and graduate students whose supervisors are at one of the two participating universities (the University of Manitoba or Lakehead University). Students should speak with their supervisors before applying for the funding.
Please note, that Indigenous CREATE is not a program that grants degrees. All applicants must be applying or already have been accepted into a graduate program at one of the participating universities (University of Manitoba, University College of the North and Lakehead University).
