This conference will focus on innovation, people and partnerships, and language and culture. It will explore the challenges, opportunities, and applications within each area. The event aims to highlight Northern Manitoba’s strengths and demonstrate how, together, we can thrive.

Present your research at the Mixer! The finalized poster must be emailed as a PDF to eclinfo@umanitoba.ca by October 31st , 2024 to allow time for printing before the event. 

Guidelines for poster presentations:

  • Poster dimensions should be no larger than 4 ft x 3 ft (or 42 inches (width) x 32 inches (height)), including the margin (1.5”), and printed in wide format.
  • PowerPoint is often used to create posters. Please make sure to set the slide size to your poster dimensions and export as a pdf for printing when you are done.
  • Posters should include an introduction, as well as sections for your research statement, methodology, project outcomes, and references.
  • Layouts should allow space for titles and authors. Don’t forget to include the title of your project, as well as the names of your supervisor, community partners, and the community you worked with.
  • Ensure that you are following appropriate copyright standards. You should be citing your sources.
  • Include photos. Use your own images or ones from Creative Commons or Public Domain. Visit the UM Copyright Office’s website for additional information. https://umanitoba.ca/copyright/.
  • When using the UM logo, ensure you are using the correct version as per the UM style guidelines (See Brand resources section): https://umanitoba.ca/about-um/brand.
