The Indigenous CREATE Research Evaluation Committee will choose applicants. Due to the requirements of our funding source, 80% of students accepted will be from NSE (Natural Science and Engineering) and 20% will be from SSH (Social Science and Humanities) fields.
The committee will choose applicants based on certain criteria. Criteria include:
Projects must be based in Indigenous communities and the proposed work must include community engagement to be considered for funding.
Students who show that their projects have been well thought out will have an advantage over students who do not.
Priority will be given to students working with Canadian Indigenous communities.
Experience working with communities and displaying an understanding of Indigenous realities is considered to be an asset.
